ABSTRACT BALICAO, GIESELLE MARIE M., CANONIZADO, RUBY JANE M.. MALASIG, CHRISTIAN P.2021. Growth and Yield of Tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill) as affected by Fertilizer Management Undergraduate Thesis. College of Engineering, Mariano Marcos State University. City of Batac 2906 Ilocos Norte. pp. Adviser: Dr. Nathaniel Alibuyog This study was conducted to determine growth and yield of tomato as affected by fertilizer application at the MMSU experimental area at the back of the MMSU main library. It has an area of 1287 m2 (42.9 m x 30 m), using a Randomized Complete Block Design with four replication and subdivided by 48 plots, the fertilizer application serve as the treatment, Ti as Control T2 Organic, T3 NFC recommendation, T4 PCAARRD and the three tomato cultivars as varieties V1 Rosanna, V2 Diamante Max and V3 Ilocos Red. In general, the study aims to determine growth and yield of tomato as affected by fertilizer management. Specifically, the study aims to monitor the phenology of the three tomato cultivars as affected by application of fertilizer management; and determine the effect of fertilizer management on the growth, yield and yield characteristics of the three tomato cultivars. All treatments were treated with the same cultural management. Growth and yield performance was observing, analyzed and tabulated. Data on plant height, number of leaves, number of flowers, number of fruits, insect pest and diseases, number of days of maturity, marketable and non-marketable yield per hectare were observe. The collected data were statistically analyzed using the Statistical Tool of Agricultural Research. Phenology did not significantly affect during the growth stages affect by the fertilizer application. Significant differences were observed on the plant height at observation period as well as number of leaves. The result of number of flowers on the three tomato varieties comparison to the treatments have significant during 14 DAT. Furthermore, there no significant in the number of fruits that was observe during to the end of cycle.Marketable yields of the three tomato varieties as affected by three tomato varieties. Treatment 2 Organic was the highest yield and Diamante Max varieties lead the highest marketable yield. Keywords: (Lycopersicun esculentum Mill,, STAR v.2.0.1, ANOVA, fertilizer management)
