520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY CORPUZ, ELLEANOR A. 2020. Agricultural Extension On-The-Job Training: Accomplishments and Experiences. College of Agriculture, Food and Sustainable Development. Mariano Marcos State University, City of Batac 2906 Tocos Norte. 53 pp. Adviser: Dr. Genevieve I. Magano On-the-Job Training (OJT) is a compulsory course requirement on most schools in the world. It is a way to apply and to utilize the knowledge learned from the past. It is believed that learning within the borders of the school could be excellent if applied in the real world of work. The OJT is also a way to let students be ready on the real world of work, exposing them on the possibilities and letting them experience how it feels when working. The student-trainee was deployed to the partner host training agency (HTA): the LGU-Batac, Office of the City Agriculturist from August 5 to November 8, 2019. A total of 560 hours was spent to the HTA for the actualization of the theories learned in the classroom. The Department of Agriculture (DA) is the principal agency of the Philippine Government responsible for the promotion of Agricultural development under RA 7160. The City Agriculture Office of the LGU-Batac is the office that takes charge of the agriculture development in the city. The student-trainee assisted the staff in the conduct of different activities implemented by the office such as trainings/seminars, farmer's meetings and monitoring of on-going programs and projects, Through the OJT, the student-trainee developed and enhanced her knowledge and skill to become more efficient and effective extension worker in the future. Furthermore, building self-confidence, cooperation, initiative, patience, diligence, and punctuality through the OJT was a treasure which the student-trainee reaped gradually, progressively and cumulatively as she was exposed into variety of tasks and work exposures. From passive, disoriented, anxious, weary, indefinite, and inconsistent, the trainee turned significantly into a person with active, concretely oriented, firm, confident, decisive, and consistent personality. The experienced of the student-trainee from the OJT at the host training agency able her to strengthen her capability and capacity to become an extension worker in the future.
