During this crisis<br/>many educational activities have been affected. However, it is still unclear how it impactec<br/>the physical therapy internship since there are still limited studies andinsuffiecien<br/>dataavailable. Thus, this study was conducted to determine the impact of the COVID-1<br/>pandemic during the physical therapy internship of batch 2019-2020 students of Marian<br/>Marcos State University.<br/> This study used quantitative descriptive research design. Skills for Learne<br/>Questionnaire of Faathir (2019) was adapted for the survey questionnaire distribut<br/>online through Google forms. Descriptive statistics such as frequency. percentage, a<br/>mean were used for analysis.<br/> The interns were assessed to be very good in interpersonal and intrapers<br/>skills, while good in intellectual skills. Also, alternative activities like special projects<br/>on-hand review materials were alternative solutions given for the unrendered clinical<br/>Furthermore, safety measures like wearing masks, social distancing, and perform<br/>handwashing techniques were implemented. Problems regarding transportation<br/>experienced. Online demonstrations, case presentations, reviews, and discussions<br/>considered the best practices during the internship. As such, these activities<br/>recommended together with telerehabilitation as alternatives for internship in the<br/>normal.<br/> The COVID-19 pandemic has truly impacted the clinical internship of the aca<br/>year 2019-2020. With the changes expected to happen to physical therapy interns.<br/><br/> |
