College of Agriculture, Food and Sustainable Development. Mariano Marcos State University. City of Batac, 2906, Ilocos Norte. 34 pp. Adviser: Mrs. Ethel Reynda M. Calivoso The project was established to provide an actual experience to the student- entrepreneurs with enterprise management particularly in broiler production. Specifically, it aimed to: (1) provide the student-entrepreneurs experience on both technical and marketing aspects of broiler production; (2) provide income for the student-entrepreneur, (3) gain profit from the enterprise; and (4) develop values and skills throughout the production. The practicum project on broiler production was conducted at Brgy. Mabaleng, City of Batac, Ilocos Norte February 11 to March 30 2019. The project raised 100 heads loading capacity in one complete production cycle for 50 days. The total budgetary requirement of the project was Php 13,846.85 which included the cost of chicks, feeds, vitamins, housing related cost, electricity, wage of laborer, transportation cost and fixed cost. The gross income of the student entrepreneurs came from the sales of live and dressed chickens with a total of Php 22,685.50 and a net income of Php 8,838.65. A return on investment (ROI) of 63.83% was recorded on the project. Thus, for every Phpl invested there is a return of Php 063. The break-even yield (BEY) of the project was 92.31 kg while the break-even price (BEP) is Php 93.67. Problems encountered sudden drop of environmental temperature which was solved because the student-entrepreneurs immediately made actions by providing additional bulbs to address the coldness. The second problem encountered was the odor wherein the student-entrepreneurs scattered saw dust below the cage to dry of the chicken manure immediately. The third problem encountered was the distraction made by the other animals in the area. The student-entrepreneurs immediately made action by providing additional barrier around the cage. After the project, the student-entrepreneurs were able to develop values like preciseness, patience, honesty, and effective, persuasion and decision making. In addition, the skills developed by the student-entrepreneurs were appropriate feeding, monitoring, recording, and marketing of chickens.
