Summary, etc. ABSTRACT FLORES, LINCOLN JAKE P. and SAGUID, SILVER JR. J. 2021. Biodiversity Assessment of Mollusks at Paoay Lake National Park (PLNP), Paoay, Ilocos Norte. Undergraduate Thesis. College of Agriculture, Food and Sustainable Development Mariano Marcos State University, City of Batac 2906 Ilocos Norte. pp. 36. Adviser: Mr. Elmer Francis A. Morales The study was conducted to assess the diversity of mollusks species at Paoay Lake National Park (PLNP) Paoay, Ilocos Norte. The study identified the species of mollusks that thrive within the Lake and determined the physico-chemical parameters in the area. Furthermore, the study compared the species diversity of mollusks and computed for the indices of diversity and compared the significant differences among sampling stations. There were seven species of mollusks identified at Paoay Lake namely: Quilted melania (Thiara granifera), Asian clams (Corbicula fluminea). Trumpet snail (Melanoides tuberculata), Golden snail (Pomacea canaliculata), Quagga mussel (Dreissena bugensis), and the Ege (Vivipara costata) and among these species, the Quilted melania was found to be the most dominant among sampling stations. The above mention were also the most diverse or most dense in some sampling stations. Moreover, correlation analysis between physico-chemical parameters and species diversity was also considered. In addition, it showed that the parameters among sampling periods has a significant relationship to the diversity of molluscan species in all sampling stations.
