The
quantitative method is the qualitative data collected, converted into numerical values
to analyze the modeled suitability factors of the study area using the concept of Analytic
Hierarchy Process (AHP) Method.
The results of this study are the maps created using the factors and values generated in
the Geographic Information System (GIS) which is divided into two categories, the
thematic maps and factored maps. In conclusion,
the area with highly suitable zone for small impounding reservoirs are located in the
western part of the map which is 22.50% of the whole area of the barangay. Within
these zones, 52 optimal locations were identified for Small Impounding Reservoir
construction. These findings were significantly influenced by both land use and rainfall
on the overall suitability for SIR construction.
