Summary, etc. This undergraduate thesis presents a comprehensive study on the sanitary <br/>landfill evaluation and selection of suitable sites in the City of Batac, Ilocos Norte. <br/>Employing a Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) approach integrated with <br/>Geographic Information System (GIS) technology, the research aims to address the <br/>critical need for efficient waste management infrastructure in the city of Batac, Ilocos <br/>Norte. The study involves the development of a hierarchical framework comprising <br/>various criteria and sub-criteria essential for landfill site selection, including <br/>environmental, socio-economic, and logistical factors. Through extensive data <br/>collection, analysis, and stakeholder consultations, the proposed methodology <br/>facilitates the systematic assessment and prioritization of candidate sites based on their <br/>compatibility with established criteria. The GIS spatial analysis tool enhances the <br/>decision-making process by providing geospatial insights and visual representations of <br/>site suitability. Ultimately, the findings of this thesis contribute to informed decisionmaking in urban planning and waste management, with the objective of promoting <br/>sustainable development and environmental stewardship in the City of Batac.
