Summary, etc. Incorporating carbonized coconut shell (CCS) and red clay to determine the <br/>effect of red clay in its physical and thermal property. Coconut shell was carbonized <br/>using a retort made of galvanized steel, then was crushed and sifted using a screen with <br/>60 mesh. Red clay was pulverized and screened from 60 and 100 mesh and the flour <br/>was sieved to 60 and 100 mesh. X-ray fluorescence (XRF) was used to analyzed the <br/>elemental composition of the raw materials. Fuel analysis was tested and the <br/>calculations was based on ASTM methods. The physical and thermal properties <br/>charcoal briquettes (CB) were tested to determine the effect of red clay that is added in <br/>each formulation and compared to commercial briquette.
