This study determined the effectiveness of the crude extract of Bangbangsit leaves (Lantana camara) as an antifungal agent. Confirmatory test were done to determine the alkaloid and saponin constituents of Bangbangsit leaves extract. To test for the antifungal activity, Filter Disk Method was utilized to determine the effectivity of the crude extract through their inhibition zones. An ointment was formulated and tested on Swiss mice inoculated with Tricophyton rubrum. From this study, alkaloid and saponin content present in the leaves of Bangbangsit extract could be a potential source of antifungal agent in the field of medicine.
