Insecticidal Action of Flame on the Forest Tree (Delonix Regia) Emulsified Seed Oil Extract on Cockroaches (Periplaneta Americana) Adviser: Augustus Caesar C. Pati the study on the insecticidal action of Flame of the Forest tree (Delonix regia) was conducted to determine the phytochemical substance present in the plant sample. Likewise, the effectiveness of the Forest tree (Delonix regia) emulsified seed oil extract as cockroach killer was also determined. Two different concentration of FFTESOE (90% and 50%) were used in the study and their effects were analyzed and compared. Baygon Cockroach Killer, distilled water, hexane, 80% ethyl alcohol, 90% and 50% FFTESOE were administered with the use of atomizer. Percentage mortality of the cockroaches was observed at 5, 10, 20, 30 and 60 minutes. The data gathered were statistically analyzed using one-way ANOVA with no blocking. Based on the statistical analysis of the data gathered, the 50% FFTESOE yielded a comparable result with that of the positive control (Baygon Cockroaches Killer). Both 90% and 50% FFTESOE are effective as cockroaches killer. The 50% FFTESOE exerted greater insecticidal action than the 90% FFTESOE. The 50% FFTESOE have no significant difference when compared to the positive control and has a significant difference when compared to the negative control (distilled water), hexane, 80% ethyl alcohol. Whereas, the 90% FFTESOE exhibited a significant when compared to the 50% FFTESOE, positive control (Baygon Cockroaches Killer), hexane, 80% ethyl alcohol. It was also noted that hexane, 80% ethyl alcohol did not all kill the cockroaches. This signifies that it contributed on the efficacy of the FFTESOE to exert an insecticidal property on cockroaches.
