DESIGN, FABRICATION, AND TESTING OF A HYBRID SOLAR AND WIND POWER SYSTEM (HSWPS) FOR HOUSE LIGHTING AND SMALL LOAD DEVICES. Under Graduate Thesis. College of Engineering. Mariano Marcos State University, Batac City, 2906 Ilocos Norte Adviser: ENGR. EDUARDO D. BOCOBOC The demand for electricity is increasing day by day, which cannot be fulfilled by non-renewable energy sources alone. Renewable energy sources such as solar and wind are omnipresent and environmentally friendly. The renewable energy sources are emerging options to fulfill the energy demand, but unreliable due to the stochastic nature of their occurrence. The objective of this study is to design, fabricate and test a hybrid solar and wind power system for house lighting and small load devices. The system will be placed where there is high wind speed and high solar radiation as it gives more opportunity for higher output. Ideally, the system can be used globally as an unlimited power source for household and other amenities.
