Guiang On-the-Job Training (OJT) is an avenue for applying, enriching and enhancing the acquired knowledge in the school in a particular field of endeavour. It is a way of changing student's outlook in life through exposure in the performance of actual work relevant to their chosen course that may serve as a stepping-stone for future career. It develops interpersonal relationship with other employees within the cooperating agency The student-trainee was deployed into two host training agencies particularly MMSU-Extension Directorate (MMSU-ED) and LGU-City of Batac, Office of the City Agriculturist (OCA) to gain and develop knowledge, skills and experience the actual working environment of an agricultural extension worker. The MMSU-ED is one of the directorates under the office of the Vice President for Research, Extension and Business. As extension arm of the university, the ED endeavours to make information and technologies work for people by extending to the general public or specific target clientele its available material and human resources, intellectual capabilities, meaningful research outputs and appropriate technological inventions and discoveries. These resources are shared to induce and realize holistic, profound, and balanced transformation of the beneficiaries and their communities geared towards sustainable development. The student trainee assisted the staff and personnel in the conduct of trainings and seminar implemented by the Host Training Agency. Meanwhile, the OCA under the LGU-City of Batac is responsible for the promotion and dissemination of information and technology to the rural areas. The trainee gave her full cooperation and effort in assisting agricultural technicians in the city in their pursuit of providing target beneficiaries the necessary intervention for the beneficiaries' growth and development. To sum up, the student-trainee acquired the roles of an extension worker that develops the skills of being a leader/catalyst and planner by showing and sharing the knowledge gained; Sympathizer by having an assertiveness of being friendly to colleagues; Facilitator through assisting in the conduct of trainings and seminars; and Educator by coaching and leading the participants of the trainings and seminars what they have to do. Likewise, aside from the knowledge and skills acquired the student-trainee was able to possess and enhance the values learned throughout the activity by showcasing different attitudes such as courtesy, the ability to be honest in any given time and place, being cooperative, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
