ABAD, JANUARY P. 2019. Supervised Farming Project on Broiler
Production Using 10% Madre De Agua (Trichanthera Gigantea) Leaf Meal as
Feed Supplement. Supervised Farming Project. College of Agriculture Food and
Sustainable Development. Mariano Marcos State University. City of Batac, 2906,
Ilocos Norte. 40 pp.
Adviser: Ms. Joan R. Rarogal

A Supervised Farming Project (SFP) on broiler production using 10% madre de
agua (Trichanthera gigantea) leaf meal as feed supplement was conducted at Brgy. 10
Barani, City of Batac, Ilocos Norte from January 27, 2019 to March 22, 2019. The
project aimed to determine the growth performance of the broilers with the technology
adopted from the study conducted by Gofredo et al, profitability of the package of
technology and to identify problems encountered and skills and values developed
during the production cycle.
Two hundred broiler chickens (200) were reared for thirty days in two
production cycles, with 100 broiler chickens for each production cycle.
The project was evaluated by getting the average daily gain, feed conversion
efficiency and return on investment. The average daily gain weight of the broilers
supplemented with madre de agua leaf meal is 0.054 kg with feed conversion efficiency
of 1.50 kg for the first cycle and 0.051 kg for the second cycle with feed conversion
