Esteban  	The practicum project on broiler production was conducted at Brgy. San Pedro, Sarrat, Ilocos Norte from January 26, 2019 to March 12, 2019. The general objective of the project was to provide the student-entrepreneurs actual first hand experience in broiler enterprise management. Specifically, it aimed to: 1) provide working knowledge and understanding on the operation of a small enterprise both in technical and marketing aspects; 2) determine the profitability of a broiler enterprise; 3) provide income to the student-entrepreneurs, and 4) identify the values and skills developed during the conduct of project. One hundred heads of chickens were raised for one production cycle which lasted for 46 days. The production management practices followed were based on the Philippine Recommends for broiler production. The project recorded a total harvest weight of 151.25 kgs for 98 birds with a mortality rate of 2%. 	The total costs of production was Php 13,829.76. The birds were offered with Pilmico feeds. The project had a gross income of Php18,270.00. The project had a net income of Php 4,440.24. The return on investment (ROI) of the project was 32.10%. The break-even price and break-even yield of the project are Php 91.44 and 115.25 kg, respectively. Weather condition was the primary problem encountered by the student-entrepreneurs, because it affected the growth performance of the broiler chickens during the production phase. Cold weather was experienced during the brooding stage. 	Some technical know-how acquired by the student-entrepreneurs included the proper construction of poultry house, proper amount of feeds given to the birds. They had also considered with the importance of cleaning, recording, and marketing. Likewise, values developed in them in operating this small scale enterprise were: being wise, resourceful, precise, patient, honest, friendly, and market-aware.</subfield>
