ABSTRACT BENSAN, BRENDA N., QUETORAS, RECY GHEM G. 2020. Design and Evaluation of Household Type Corn Pulverizer. Undergraduate Thesis. College of Engineering, Mariano Marcos State University, City of Batac 2906 Ilocos Norte. 36 pp. Adviser: Dr. Reynold M. Caoili This Thesis entitled, Design and Evaluation of Household Type Com Pulverizer, aimed to fabricate low-cost, efficient and portable household corn pulverizer which can be used by small-scale and medium-scale farmers. The researchers used electric motor as the main drive that operates the pulverizer and allowed other moving parts of the machine to function and hammer mills to shred or crushed aggregate materials into smaller pieces by the repeated blows of little hammers. The machine can be operated by one person however for faster operation, two persons should operate the machine. It is portable and is made up of locally available materials. It had a height, length, and width of 87.5 cm, 72.77 cm, and 41.53 cm, respectively. In addition, it has a total weight of 29.67 kg and overall cost of P7,992.00. Results of the study revealed that the model is capable of pulverizing 6 kilograms per hour with a pulverizing efficiency of 99.77%.
