The Effects of COVID-19 to Physical Therapist Home Health Care in Ilocos Norte. Adviser: Prof. Chariss Macalma PTRP. MSPT. The emergence of COVID-19 pandemic affected health care services including home health care which is also integral to patient care. Eventually, this pandemic might be an intervening factor that affects PT HHC services and their plan of care to patients. Thus, the study sought to characterize how COVID-19 affected the PT HHC in Ilocos Norte. The researchers used descriptive quantitative correlational research design to evaluate the effects of COVID-19 to PT HHC particularly in Batac City, San Nicolas and Laoag City private/public clinics, centers and hospitals. An online questionnaire consisting of 3 parts was administered via messenger. A total of 27 respondents completed the survey. Among the respondents of the study, female dominates with a very young profile which are affiliated both in private and public facilities. Results revealed that financial matters on both PTs and patients negatively affected provision of PT HHC at this time. Due to decline in PT HHC services, interventions and policies to better support these frontline health care professionals are urgently needed. The telerehabilitation revolution will be a critical factor in the future of PT HHC. Key words. PT HHC. COVID-19. Home Health. Pandemic. </subfield>
