Guiang  	On-the-job training (OJT) is a unique opportunity for students who already possess some job-related skills and knowledge to learn and to improve their capabilities. The OJT helps students to be more responsible in doing their job and to cope with organizational, social and technological change. This is to impart knowledge to the students while they are performing in the actual field, boost their self-confidence, and develop their communication skills. It aims to apply what has been learned in school. 	The student-trainee was assigned at the MMSU-Extension Directorate to enhance her capabilities, self-confidence, and communication skills, and to gain and learn new knowledge, skills, experiences and strategies on the actual working environment of an agricultural extension worker, MMSU-Extension Directorate is under the office of the Vice President for Research, Extension and Business. Extension Directorate works to make information and technologies accessible to the community people, extending information to specific target clientele by using available materials and human resources, technological inventions and newly discovered and created technologies. They help people help themselves by creating a channel of communication and intervention. Throughout the OJT, the student-trainee assisted the Directorate's stalt and personnel in conducting seminars and trainings and other activities implemented. During the training, the student-trainee was exposed to the roles of an extension worker. She developed her self-confidence, enhanced her communication skills, and acquired new knowledge, skills, experiences and strategies that she can use in her future work as an Agriculturist.</subfield>
