As aquaculture production increases, there is an increased requirement for fishmeal and fish oil. Feed quality and requirements are critical in the fish diet because they affect growth, performance, production, and market value. To address the issue, purslane, water spinach, moringa, and soybean pulp were utilized as fish feed for the effective growth of tilapia as they have observed that those raw materials are eaten by ruminant animals and possibly contain plant proteins that will meet the physical growth requirements of the tilapia to replace fish meal and fish oil. This study was conducted for 14 weeks from February 8 to May 16, 2024, at Barangay Rayuray, City of Batac, Ilocos Norte. One hundred twenty (120) pieces of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) were used in the study. All the data obtained from the study were analyzed using One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) with equal replicates at a 5% level of significance. If found significant, a comparison between treatments was done using Tukey’s Honest Significant Difference (HSD). Results revealed that the formulated fish feed is suitable for culturing Nile tilapia due to its desired protein content. The total crude protein content suggests ing necessities adjustments in protein ingredients. Furthermore, Treatment III (40% CFF + 60% FFF) of the formulated fish feed significantly impacted the tilapias' weight, length, and survival rates. Also, Treatment III (40% CFF + 60% FFF) was identified as the best formulation for growth in length and weight. Additionally, Treatment III (40% CFF + 60% FFF) was preferred by evaluators for its color, odor, and taste. The cost of the Treatment IV (100% FFF) is Php 10.175, which is cheaper than commercial alternatives with Php 25.00. Overall, participants were satisfied with the quality of the xii steamed fish meat with an average mean of 7.83 with verbal interpretation of liked very much. ER -
