This capstone project involves designing, fabricating, and evaluating the performance of a pico hydro power wheel for domestic use in rural areas like Barangay Cacafean, Marcos, Ilocos Norte. Utilizing renewable sources such as water from irrigation canals is particularly beneficial, especially considering the high demand for electricity and occasional breakdowns in generation companies. This study aims to contribute to reducing carbon emissions in the atmosphere. Since there hasn't been much research on pico hydro power wheels for domestic use, the researchers aim to close this research gap. This study will be beneficial to the community of Cacafean Marcos, providing them with clean and reliable electricity generation. The study focuses on the design, fabrication, and evaluation of the performance and speed of the generator, as well as its output power. The researchers used six 12 VDC bulbs and a 5-watt DC fan as loads for the generator, along with a voltmeter, ammeter, and tachometer. The generator's optimal load is 10 ohms, where it achieves peak performance of 4.63 volts, 0.403 amperes, and 1.8659 watts. Lastly, they achieved a maximum output of 832 RPM with 10.46 volts, 1.206 amperes, and 12.615 watts.
