Suyatan aCity of Batac : bMMSU, c2024. axiii, 75 leaves :c29 cm. aThesis (BS in Agriculture major in Animal Science) -- Mariano Marcos State University-College of Agriculture, Food and Sustainable Development, Batac City aBibliography : leaves 50-56 aThe study was conducted from November 6 to December 20, 2023 in Barangay Magnuang, City of Batac, Ilocos Norte, to evaluate the growth performance, health status, laying performance, egg quality, and profitability of Japanese quails fed different levels of black soldier fly larvae meal (BSFLM). A total of 180 ready-to-lay quails were randomly and equally distributed into four dietary treatment groups with three replications following a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). The treatments were: (T1) 100% pure commercial feed (CF), (T2) 95% CF + 5% BSFLM, (T3) 90% CF + 10% BSFLM, and (T4) 85% CF + 15% BSFLM. Analysis was done using the analysis of variance (ANOVA) for RCBD and treatment means were compared using Least Significant Difference Test using STAR V.2.0.1. The results showed that quails fed with BSFLM showed no significant differences in terms of growth performance, health status, laying performance, egg quality (except egg width), and profitability. Furthermore, there were no negative health effects or mortalities associated with the inclusion of BSFLM. Moreover, a positive net income was obtained from all the treatments, resulting in positive return of investment. The highest ROI was obtained from quails fed with pure commercial feeds. The treatment with the highest inclusion rate of BSFLM gave the lowest ROI. 2lcccTHEDIS c24311d24311 00102lcc4070aMMSU_MAINbMMSU_MAINcTHESESd2024-12-10i7485l1pUTHESIS-7485r2025-09-15s2025-09-09w2024-12-10yTHEDISzRoom Use Only
