520 _a ABSTRACT ASUNCION, TAN YZAEL P., ARZAGA, VINCENT CLARK LULAN ORLANDO JR. M., SARANILLA. AISHA MAE ATACATA, KRISSA ZANDRA A., D. 2020, DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF AUTOMATIC WATER COOLING SYSTEM USING PELTIER EFFECT. Undergraduate Thesis. College of Engineering Mariano Marcos State University, City of Batac, 2900 Ilocos Norte. Adviser: Engr. Melwyn Pascua This paper presents and studies the novel concept of thermoelectric water cooling system. Thermoelectric cooler (TEC) modules offers many advantages, such as environment friendly, reliability, and absence of moving parts. Peltier require more energy input than comparable compressor-based systems. However, while heat is emitted from the TEC module, it is comparatively less than those Compression Refrigeration System (CRS). This means that there may be some savings in terms of air condition load in the area where the unit is housed, which could help offset the energy efficiency differential And rest assured that in this study it produces lesser heat because there is a presence of the heatsink with CPU fan that dissipates the heat. This research covers the fabrication of a new water-cooling system using the Peltier effect of the thermoelectric cooler module. It tests the capabilities of the TEC module in water cooling. The device was tested between the months of January to March 2020. The project was fully operational on March 14.2020 after both preliminary and final fabrication was accomplished together with all its components. We therefore conclude that the project is a success since we have met the objectives of this study and integrated the device. At the end of this thesis, recommendations have been proposed for further improvement of flaws and weaknesses of the current project
