Pastor The study is a descriptive research which was conducted to determine the production process flow of tobacco cultivation in Barangay Baay, City of Batac, Ilocos Norte. Specifically, it aimed to determine the economic benefits of tobacco production to the farmers, the input or resources needed in the production process flow and the perceived environmental impact of tobacco production in the farmers' community. An interview on the farmers of Barangay Baay was conducted in the month of February, 2021. Descriptive statistics including frequency counts and percentage were used to analyze the data in the study. A total of 26 farmers were included in the study.Most of the farmers were male, married and finished secondary education. Their average monthly income ranged from Php 5,000 to Php 10, 000. Majority of them have 2,5000 square meter farms. Tobacco farming is one of the major sources of income of the farmers. Most of them earn an average of Php 38,000 for every season of cultivation which sustains their household needs and enables them to send their children to school. The input or resources needed by the farmers in the vaan w production process of tobacco outfivation include wwar gut, fertilizer, bamboo sticks, wood and seeds Perceived environmental impacts were only one nerves end e tobacco production process flow (PPF) especially during the outing stars were the farmers noted that the burning of wood in their bar contest Other perceived impacts include water shortage during the wing seedlings and transplanting stage. The research results provide valuable information to set the government unit and other government agencies like the NTA in die measures and strategies in order to reduce the environmental impact of some stages of PPF which would ensure the sustainability of the environment.
