520 _aThe study was conducted at Brgy. 16, Salsalamagui, Vintar, Ilocos Norte for 30 days to evaluate the growth performance of broiler chicken fed with Processed Black Soldier Fly Larvae (PBSFL). Specifically, it sought to determine the effect of using free-choice PBSFL as a feed supplement in the growth performance of broilers in terms of average daily gain (ADG), feed conversion ratio (FCR), and dressing percentage; determine the morbidity and mortality rates of broilers fed with free-choice PBSFL; and assess the cost and return analysis of raising broilers using PBSFL as a feed supplement. A total of 60 head day-old straight-run Cobb broiler chicks were assigned to two treatments and triplicated with 10 chicks per replication following a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) lay-out. After a brooding period, the broilers were placed in their respective treatment cages.The initial weight, weight on weeks 1 to 3, total feed consumption, feed conversion ratio, and dressing percentage of broilers with or without PBSFL supplementation were similar. Broilers fed with PBSFL significantly improved the final weight, fourth weekly weight, total grain in weight, average daily gain, performance efficiency factor, and gross income. Additionally, the study shows that broilers fed with commercial feeds alone gave 45.97% in every peso invested while broilers fed with commercial feeds added with PBSFL gave 28.03% in every peso invested.
