The pypocholesterolemic effect of UBPE was tested to 7 male and 8 female cholesterol induced guneia pigs. The test animals were subjected to the following treatments; First group, UBPE administered at a dose of 0.5ml, 1.0 ml and 1.5 ml. second group, Simvastatin (Zocor) administered at a 0.03 milligram per 100grams of body weight diluted in sufficient water. Third group, with 2 ml distilled water as the negative control. Based from the assay, it was investigated that UBPE is the most effective as hypocholesterolemic agent than the positive control and the negative control.Item type | Home library | Call number | Status | Date due | Barcode |
